We’ve moved Tonight’s Free Friday Night Pyjama Party under the big Main Stage tent – so families can have a DRY! dance party.
It’s inside the Festival grounds, everyone is welcome – no wristbands needed. The gates will be open and there will be big signs – so you can just come on in!
We’re getting the party started with a FREE Friday Night Pyjama Party hosted by Whistler’s favourite dancing machine Ira Pettle! There will be also be live music by Some Assembly Required, delicious mini donuts made right on site from Dee’s Donuts, Giant Jenga, and a bunch of crazy characters!

Whistler Children’s Festival
Whistler Olympic Plaza: 10am – 4pm
The Whistler Children’s Festival runs 10am–4pm on Saturday and Sunday, July 7 and 8. Festival Entry is $10 for 3–10 year-olds and free for ages 11+ and 0–2—basically, your child gets to bring you! You can come for one day or both, there’s a lot to do so don’t be surprised if your kids want to come back for more.
On the festival grounds, you’ll find two-days worth of performances to attend including the fiddle skills of the Jocelyn Pettit Band, storytelling with Ta Daa Lady and her Nylon Zoo, the magical Circus Fungus crew, and another 10+ entertainers. Community partners are also in attendance with the Whistler Museum’s historical tickle trunk, the Britannia Mining Museum rock petting zoo, and the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre are making hide bracelets and animal headdresses.
Then there’s the new Make-It Tent, with nine hands-on crafting options for parents and caregivers to do with their children. Aimed at ages 3–10 there’s everything from noise-making rain sticks and Shaggy Shakers, to decorating your own backpack or trucker hat. The Festival provides all the materials you need—you and your kids just have to add your imaginations. See the Make-It Tent activities.
To get your craft on you need to purchase Fun Tickets which can be exchanged for different activities in the Make-It Tent. Each activity has its own Fun Ticket rating, for example, a superhero mask is one ticket ($5) and a backpack-making kit is three ($15). Fun tickets can be bought ahead of time online and picked up at the festival will call, and they’re also available on the day—super easy!
